System Deployment

While there is nothing so constant as change, it is difficult for many people. Consider some questions your staff will intuitively ask—though not always aloud—when evaluating change to your business operations.

  1. Is the right problem being addressed—mine?
  2. Does the solution appear to be a good one?
  3. What’s in it for me?
  4. What could go wrong? Who might get hurt?
  5. How are we going to implement the solution?
  6. Do we have the leadership and commitment to get it done?

If these questions aren’t answered frankly and effectively, the proposed change will not have the buy-in and support to succeed. No matter how good the idea, the strategy, and tactics are doomed from the outset. Keep in mind, it is best when those who will be operating the system participate in the system development process.

Deployment of a new system or process requires careful orchestration of people, resources, and timing. It is important to get your new system off to a good start.
